Prior to finding Open Book Ministries, I craved fellowship with Godly women and growing in my faith. I literally felt like a spiritual anorexic. When I first attended a Retreat in the City, I listened intently. I found the teaching to be Biblically solid. In addition to that, I found the worship to be filled with the Spirit of the Lord. I felt the precious love of our Father in a way I had not experienced it. That was in Jan 2015. In the time since I have learned to pray using the scriptures, interceding for my loved ones and the cares of my dear sisters. The women prayed with me and for me which always touched my heart with God’s love and kindness. I have made dear friends that have walked with me these past 9 years. Through God’s direction, my roots have gown deep, pressing down deep to the pure living waters where my soul is nourished. I am forever grateful for finding this beautiful group of women leaning into the direction of the Lord and listening for the beating of his heart.
Open Book Ministries has been such a vital
& beautiful part of my spiritual journey.
The amazing teaching, primarily done by Vicki, in her incredible gifting from the Lord, but also each one in leadership & often those participating, has brought their own lessons in life to share & encourage the ladies.
I have been a part of Open Book Ministries for almost 17 years, there have been many ladies that have come in various seasons of life, but there is a core group that always remains. The fellowship with those seeking the Lord, some young & some well seasoned in their faith, has always been such a sweet space to grow & wrestle with all that He is working out in my life & those who make space for this retreat. Always time Divinely appointed & a blessing to all who participate! I anticipate our times together, expecting heavenly downloads in this well prepared & sacred space for prayer, worship, teaching, private retreats, community, conversation & fellowship with sweet sisters in Christ!
The ripple effects are endless, always in tandem with what the Holy Spirit is calling out in our lives!
“For he satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things.”

I was a new Christian when I joined OBMIN in spring 2009. I was also a teenager and had the hardest time getting up early on a Saturday to spend half of it with the women I did not know. But as I began to attend the monthly meetings and get to know the women, I began to realize the invaluable blessing of the spiritual mentorship where the older women poured into younger women and vice versa. What a rare gift, even in today’s Christian circles! To this day, 15 years later, I am still friends with some of those women, I call my spiritual moms, who continue to check-in, pray for me, and point me to Christ. Even though I no longer live in CO and can partake in OBMIN gatherings, I continue with the important lesson I learned from them: being a spiritual mentor to someone in my life and a mentee of someone who can continually encourage me in my walk with the Lord. We are not meant to walk through life alone. Our lives are richer, our problems are smaller, and our faith is deeper when we live in close community and deep fellowship with other believers.
It was a Thursday before Easter in 20ll when I was invited the first time to OBM - bible study. God knew this was important to me because it was a time when my family and I were taking care of our mom.
Part of the study was on Exodus 14:21 “dry land”. The Word IS alive and active and that night in 2011 it grabbed a hold of my heart. These teachings from OBM are creative; they leave you wanting more of Jesus!!
Our LORD knows our heart!! I will never forget that study and how God has blessed me with OBM!!
Open Book has been such an important benefit to me in that I was able to be with godly and spiritual women who shared their struggles, their faith, and lessons learned in this thing called Life! The importance of having a close relationship with God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit and our camaraderie together to have tools to use to combat the wiles of the devil!
In 2015, I was invited to an OB Ministry retreat. I didn't know quite what to expect but I am so thankful that I said "YES"! Open Book has impacted my life in so many ways. The teachings are of sound doctrine and straight out of the Bible. Each season is filled with so much wisdom that I look forward to the next retreat. The fellowship, open discussions and private retreat time is refreshing and vital. Not only have the women inspired me but they also have prayed over me during some of the most difficult seasons of my life. I learned how to have more confidence in sharing the gospel with other women and family. I love this ministry! It has blessed me beyond words. 1 Thessalonians 5:11 Therefore encourage one another and build each other up,
just as in fact as you are doing.
