A Message From Our Prayer Chaplain, Cathy

Pray for God’s Glory

Pray for things to happen in such a way as to provide God with the credit and to give God the glory. He is powerful, magnificent, and majestic. And He is still our closest, most intimate Friend. Praise Him and ask for things that matter to Him.

“To the only wise God be glory forever through Jesus Christ! Amen ~” Romans 16:27

God is so good to us; He has given all of us giftings in certain areas ~

Hospitality, administration, gifts of healing and teaching, as well as creativity in cooking,

woodworking, ability to solve problems, etc.

Let us use what God has given us to joyfully serve others, always being so conscious of giving our Father God ALL THE GLORY!!

Jeremiah 9:23-24 has some wise advice for us today:

Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, let not the mighty man glory in his might, Nor let the rich man glory in his riches;

But let him who glories glory in this, that he understands and knows Me,

that I am the Lord exercising lovingkindness,

judgment, and righteousness in the earth. For in these I delight,” says the Lord.

In Daniel 4, King Nebuchadnezzar had a dream of a beautiful giant tree

that was chopped down and only a stump was left. Daniel interpreted the dream for the king ~ the tree represented King Nebuchadnezzar and his great empire.

But unless he would acknowledge Who enabled him to have all this wealth and power, his kingdom would be taken from him, and he would become like a wild animal for seven years… Daniel 4:25

v 29-30 At the end of 12 months King Nebuchadnezzar was walking around the royal palace of Babylon. “Is not this great Babylon, that I have built… by my mighty power and for the honor of my majesty?”

And just as Daniel had received the interpretation, v 33 King Nebuchadnezzar became as an animal, eating grass, his body wet with the dew of heaven and his hair like eagles’ feathers and his nails like bird claws.

v 34 At the end of the seven years, his understanding returned to him, and the King blessed the Most High and praised and honored God who lives forever.

v 37b And those who walk in pride He is able to put down.

Isaiah 42:8

I am the Lord, that is My name; and My glory I will not give to another,

nor My praise to carved images.

I Corinthians 10:31 Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. Amen!
